Sanya Phoenix (SYX) has the railway station right beside the terminal: Fenghuang Airport station takes 8 minutes to Sanya station and 23 to Yalong Bay, and heads north up the west loop to Meilan station at Haikou Meilan Airport in 1h34 or Haikou East in 2h04. Sanya has no metro and no tram to the airport. Train tickets from here can be booked on traintickets.travel.
Getting from the plane onto the island railway
Sanya has neither metro nor tram service to the airport. The fastest move is a short walk to the station on the west side of Terminal 1.

Head west inside T1
The station is attached to the Terminal 1 drop-off deck with its main entrance on the west side — follow the rail signs. The airport gives no official walking time.

Into Sanya city in 8 minutes8 min
Sanya station takes 8 minutes and ¥8 in second class; Yalong Bay in the resort belt takes 23. West-loop trains run roughly every 40 minutes.

The tram does not serve the airport
Sanya’s only tram links Sanya railway station with Jiangang Road (¥3) and does not reach the airport — take the train to Sanya station first.
From plane to train
Follow these steps in order. Every one of them happens indoors — there is no shuttle bus.

Land, then head west inside T1
Domestic arrivals come into Block C at Level 1; follow the rail signs towards the west side of Terminal 1.

Enter and buy a ticket
The station sits just outside the departures deck, with ticket office and gates on this level.

Sanya station is where the ring lines meet — change here or ride direct to Yalong Bay, Haikou and Meilan Airport.

Taxi queue opposite Gates 4–5 of the T1/T2 arrivals hall (Level 1), or outside Gate 01 of the T3 arrivals hall (Level 1). Class I: CNY 11 for the first 2.5 km, then CNY 2.4/km, CNY 3.6/km beyond 10 km. Class II: CNY 10 for 2.5 km, then CNY 2.2/km, CNY 3.3/km beyond 10 km. A 20% night surcharge applies 23:00–06:00. The meter is authoritative.
