How to buy
K27/K28 is not sold on 12306. Tickets are issued at five station counters only, and the North Korean visa must be arranged through a designated agency.
We do not sell this ticket. Our team can queue at the counter or brief you on the visa and border steps — the ticket itself is issued by the railway or by CITS.
Visa & boarding
A North Korean visa is mandatory and must go through a designated agency.
- North Korean visas are arranged only through designated travel agencies — you cannot apply directly
- From 2026 in practice only business visas are being issued
- Five ticket counters sell the train: Beijing, Tianjin, Shanhaiguan, Shenyang and Dandong
At the border
- Border crossing at Dandong → Sinŭiju, on the Yalu River
- Buy at a station counter, not online — the ticket is linked to the passport and the visa
- Visa timing is the bottleneck: apply through a designated agency before buying the ticket
