How to buy

K3/K4 is not sold on 12306. Tickets are issued in person at CITS international ticket counters; nothing can be booked while the train is suspended.

We do not sell this ticket. Our team can queue at the counter or brief you on the visa and border steps — the ticket itself is issued by the railway or by CITS.

Visa & boarding

Two visas are required for the full Beijing–Moscow run.

  • Mongolian transit visa — needed because the train crosses Mongolia
  • Russian visa — needed for entry to Russia
  • Both must be arranged before departure; the border stations do not issue visas

At the border

  • Gauge change at Erlian on the China–Mongolia border, roughly 3–5 hours on the platform or in the station
  • Border stations after Zamiin-Uud: Sükhe-Bator and Naushki
  • Suspension means no tickets are on sale — check back for a restart announcement before planning
