Beijing Capital Airport (PEK) to Beijing South railway station

There is no direct rail link between PEK and Beijing South — but there is a direct bus, which is the easiest option with luggage.

The simplest option is the Airport Bus Beijing South line: ¥20–30, running 06:00–02:00, boarding at T3 level 1 inside Gate 1. For speed, take the Airport Express (¥25, 25 min) to Sanyuanqiao, then metro Line 10 and Line 14 to Beijing South. Taxis run 24 hours.

How to take each option

Airport Bus Beijing South line

Fare ¥20–30First 06:00Last 02:00
  1. At T3 go to the city bus waiting area inside Gate 1 on level 1; at T2, outside Gate 11 on level 1.
  2. Buy a ticket at the counter and say Beijing South railway station.
  3. The line terminates at Beijing South, calling at Sanyuanqiao South, Shuangjing, Shilihe and Fangzhuang.

Fares are zoned, so the price depends on where you get off; bags go in the luggage hold under the coach.

Airport Express + metro Lines 10 and 14

Fare ¥25 + metro fare
  1. Take the Airport Express to Sanyuanqiao (25 min, ¥25).
  2. Change to metro Line 10.
  3. Change to Line 14 and alight at Beijing South Railway Station.

Two changes plus station walks — tiring with heavy luggage, so take the bus instead in that case.

Taxi

Fare Metered

Late-night and early-morning arrivals

The last Airport Express leaves at 22:52; after that take the Beijing South bus line, which runs until 02:00. Later than that, taxis run 24 hours.
