Before you fly
- Check-in
- Level 4: international and Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan check-in at Islands C, D, E, F and G (near Doors 3 and 4), plus domestic check-in for all carriers except Air China and China United — Island A for Hebei Airlines and Donghai Airlines (near Door 1), Islands A and B for China Southern, Xiamen Airlines and Chongqing Airlines (near Doors 1 and 2), Island H for China Eastern (near Door 5), Island K for Capital Airlines and Juneyao Air (near Door 6). Level 3: Air China domestic check-in at Island M (near Door 8), China United at Island R (near Door 11), premium check-in for China Southern and Xiamen Airlines (near Door 7) and for China Eastern (near Door 12); Level 3 is the main domestic security area, and domestic passengers with no checked bags can use the "domestic express departure" lane straight to screening. Level B1 has counters and security lanes for all domestic flights — Island U for Air China, China Southern, Xiamen Airlines and Chongqing Airlines; Island W for China Eastern, China United, Hebei Airlines, Capital Airlines, Juneyao Air and Donghai Airlines. Passengers arriving by Daxing Airport Express or intercity train can check in, clear security and board directly from B1. Staffed counters usually close 40 minutes before departure.
- Security
- International and domestic departures are separated. Domestic screening is mainly on Level 3 (24 lanes, including a "domestic express departure" lane), with 12 further domestic lanes on Level B1; international screening is on Level 4 (14 lanes) with joint customs, quarantine and immigration inspection; eight transfer security lanes sit inside the Level 2 sterile area. The "Easy Security" lane operates 06:00-22:00 and can be booked through the Daxing Airport mini-program; family assistance and late-passenger lanes are also provided. For international departures customs inspection is merged into the security process, so outbound bags are screened only once.
- Gates
- A single terminal with five radial concourses (A, B, C, D and E) and 79 contact-stand boarding bridges. Gate numbers take the concourse letter as their prefix (e.g. A12, C20). Domestic gates are spread across Concourses A, B, C and D, mostly on Level 2; international and Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan gates are concentrated in Concourse E, the south-central concourse inside the sterile area, with Level 3 as the international departures zone. The west side mainly serves China Southern and the east side China Eastern. There is no separate satellite concourse; the northern "sixth pier" is a mixed-use service building (hotel, offices, car parks) with no passenger boarding function. The walk from the core to the farthest gate is under 600 m, about 8 minutes.
International passengers
240-hour visa-free transit
- 240-hour visa-free transit

- Area
- 24 provincial-level regions: Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and Shaanxi. Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei are covered in their entirety, and cross-provincial travel within the permitted area is allowed
- Conditions
- Hold a valid international travel document valid for at least three months, hold a confirmed onward ticket to a third country or region departing within 240 hours, complete the temporary entry card for foreigners and undergo immigration inspection; the country of arrival and the country of onward departure must differ. The stay period starts at 00:00 on the day after entry.
On arrival
International arrivals: follow the signs down to Level 1 and pass through four steps in order — health quarantine and temperature check, immigration inspection, baggage claim, and customs inspection — before exiting into the arrivals hall, where the airport bus boarding area is on the same level; lifts connect to the car parks, taxi and ride-hailing ranks, and the railway and metro. Daxing Airport Customs uses a "seamless clearance" model with baggage screening moved upstream, so bags that raise no issues do not need a second X-ray after collection. Domestic arrivals use a mixed-flow layout: passengers walk through the Level 2 domestic concourse to the baggage claim on the same level and exit directly to the taxi holding area, ride-hailing waiting area and car parks. International arrival typically takes about 45-60 minutes from touchdown to the arrivals hall, domestic about 20-30 minutes.
Transfers
The central transfer zone is on Level 2, between the domestic mixed-flow route and the international arrivals route, with dedicated immigration and security facilities; domestic-to-international, international-to-domestic and international-to-international transfers are all handled here. Design minimum connection times are 30 minutes domestic-to-domestic, 45 minutes international-to-international, and 60 minutes for domestic-international and international-domestic. A domestic-to-international transfer runs: domestic arrival → Level 2 central transfer hall → immigration and customs transfer security → Concourse E international departure area. Through-checked baggage on a single booking goes straight through; separate tickets require collecting bags and re-checking in on Level 4. Daxing Airport also offers a "transfer baggage pick-up" service for domestic passengers on separate tickets: staff collect and re-check the bags so the passenger never leaves the sterile area or passes security again. Book via the "Shouxin Yitu" WeChat mini-program or by scanning the on-site code; the fee is ¥49 per piece (excluding Spring Airlines and 9 Air). The domestic quick-transfer area is open 09:00-02:00 next day and handles transfer check-in for all carriers at any counter.

Taxi
The taxi rank is on Level 1 of the terminal, in front of Doors 18 to 20, split into Beijing-bound and Hebei-bound queues; ride-hailing picks up in a dedicated area of the car park, reached on foot via the Level 2 link corridor. A ride to central Beijing (about 46-50 km) typically costs ¥150-220 and takes 60-90 minutes depending on traffic, including about ¥10 in expressway tolls. Beijing, Daxing district and Langfang taxis queue in separate areas but drop off at the same point. The Beijing flag drop is about ¥13 for the first 3 km, with metered distance rates about 20% higher between 23:00 and 05:00.
