Group tickets and ticket-purchase assistance in China

Some international trains cannot be bought online at all, and group seats usually cannot be booked through ordinary channels. We help with the parts that need a person in China: holding a group block, queueing at the right ticket window, and getting the visa and border steps right. Tickets are issued by China Railway, China International Travel Service or the national railway of that country — we assist with the purchase, we do not sell the tickets.

Group tickets (10 or more)

Groups of ten or more can often be held as a block on long-distance and cross-border services, which is not possible with ordinary online booking.

We collect the passenger list, passport details and travel dates, then ask the railway or the international ticket office to hold seats.

Tickets are issued by the railway or by China International Travel Service; we handle the paperwork and the queueing.

Tell us the route and date and we will confirm what can be held before you pay anything.

Ticket-purchase assistance at the counter

Several international trains are not sold online at all — K23/K24, K27/K28 and T8701/T8702 are counter-only, and K3/K4 and K19/K20 are suspended.

We can queue at the station ticket office on your behalf, or brief you on exactly which window to use and what to bring.

The ticket is issued in your name against your passport, by the railway. We do not issue tickets ourselves.

For the Kunming–Vientiane train, which is bookable on China Railway, we can walk you through the passport registration and paper-ticket collection instead.

Visa and border assistance

Each international route has its own visa rule: a Mongolian transit visa plus a Russian visa for K3/K4, only a Russian visa for K19/K20, a designated-agency visa for K27/K28, a paper visa for T8701, and a Lao visa arranged in advance for D87.

We check which rule applies to your passport and which border station you will clear.

We also explain the practical side: gauge changes at Erlian or Zabaikalsk, the two stops at Mohan and Boten, and how long each takes.

Visa applications themselves are handled by the issuing embassy or a licensed agency — we prepare the file and the timing, we do not issue visas.

Email us

One email is enough. Tell us the train, the date and how many passengers, and we reply with what can actually be held and what it costs — before you pay anything.

What to put in the email

  • The train you are looking at — the code is enough, e.g. K23/K24, K27/K28, T8701/T8702
  • The date, and a second date if you have any flexibility — some routes only release seats days ahead
  • How many passengers, and their nationalities (visa rules differ by passport)
  • Anything that changes the answer: a connection you must catch, a group of ten or more, or a child travelling

We never ask for passport numbers by email. If we need them to issue a ticket, we will point you to the secure form in your booking — and if a ticket cannot be obtained, we will say so instead of taking an order.
