Don Mueang to the train, step by step
Follow the covered connection from the terminal straight into Don Mueang railway station — about five minutes on foot. Take the SRT Red Line towards Krung Thep Aphiwat: roughly 20 minutes, around ฿33, and no changes at all. That makes Don Mueang the easiest airport in Thailand for reaching the trains. Better still, some long-distance services call at Don Mueang itself, so check your train before you travel south into the city — you may be able to board right here.

Heading into the city rather than to a train? Buses A1 and A2 run to Mo Chit and Victory Monument for ฿30; a taxi to central Bangkok costs ฿250–500 depending on traffic.
The route, one step at a time
Follow these steps from the arrivals hall to the platform. Each one is signed in English at the airport.
Signs point to the railway station from the arrivals hall. The whole connection is covered and step-free for most of its length.
Buy at the counter or machine. The dark-red commuter service runs every 15 to 20 minutes and calls at Krung Thep Aphiwat at the end of the run.
Northern, north-eastern and southern lines all leave from this building. Follow the signs to the long-distance concourse.
Trains you can catch from here
Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal is the station these services use. Pick one to see schedules and fares.
Good to know before you land
Several long-distance services on the northern and north-eastern lines call at Don Mueang about 15 minutes after leaving Krung Thep Aphiwat. If yours does, boarding at the airport saves the trip into the centre entirely.
The Red Line runs from early morning to around midnight. If your flight lands after the last train, buses A1 and A2 run to Mo Chit for ฿30, and the taxi rank outside arrivals covers the rest.
Low-cost carriers use Don Mueang, full-service airlines mostly use Suvarnabhumi. They are on opposite sides of the city and there is no direct rail link between them — allow three hours if you have to change.
