Surat Thani Airport to the train, step by step
Surat Thani Airport and Surat Thani railway station sit in the same district, Phun Phin, linked by a short taxi ride of roughly 15 to 20 minutes. That makes this the easiest air-to-rail transfer anywhere in the south. Mind the naming: the station is at Phun Phin, about 14 km west of Surat Thani town, and the airport is another 21 km out — three separate places sharing one name. Combined bus-and-ferry tickets for Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao are sold in the arrivals hall.
