Twelve hours built around one park and one evening show: costumed streets in the afternoon, the Song-dynasty spectacular after dark. The show is the reason to stay.
If re-enactment feels staged to you, the park will too — there are no original buildings here.
The park ticket is valid for three days with re-entry. Most people buy it for one afternoon and never use the second entry.

The first show of the day happens outside the gate. Then follow the main axis to the Rainbow Bridge, the timber arch made famous by the painting, with Song-dressed characters on and under it
The husband-choosing show pulls visitors on stage. The goulan wasi quarter is where the Song storytellers and acrobats worked — take whatever is starting next
Soup dumplings, fried bean jelly, almond tea. Leaving the park to eat is fine — the ticket lets you back in the same day
A cavalry duel with real horses and the loudest crowd in the park. Claim a spot twenty minutes early; the bowl-smashing wine stand is next door
A river battle with boats and firearms, and very loud. The bridge is the seat for the whole scene
Four tiers of gilded eaves, and the best angle over the roofs, the Bian River and the boats
A short walk or ride out of the park — Kaifeng’s densest run of snacks: smoked chicken, peanut cake, lamb flatbread
About seventy minutes, staged on the Bian River and threaded through Song lyrics, from Li Yu’s “Yu Meiren” to “Man Jiang Hong”. Ticket included; the centre block of Section A is the best seat

Good for families who want live shows rather than museums. The park is flat and pushchair-friendly, but the crowd leaving a show is dense — hold on to small children.
$122 per person on the group tour, or from $256 per vehicle for a private car with driver and guide. The group price includes the driver, guide and admission; the private price is for the whole vehicle, whatever the party size.
It runs 09:00 to 21:00 — about 12 hours from pick-up to drop-off, including the drive. If you are catching a train or flight the same evening, book it for after 22:30.

Two days. We do not accept same-day or next-day bookings because the car, guide and admission have to be arranged in advance. Cancellation is free up to 7 days before the tour; inside that it steps to 20% (6–3 days) and 60% (2–1 days), and nothing is refunded on the day itself.
Built from the Song-dynasty painting Along the River During Qingming: streets, bridges, workshops and costumed staff. Better after dark, when the lanterns do most of the work.

Small performances run through the day in the streets and courtyards, which is what keeps children interested. Treat it as a living film set rather than a museum.
