Xi’an Xianyang Airport (XIY) to Xi’an North railway station

There is no railway station inside the airport, but Line 14 ties it straight to the high-speed hub: 31 minutes, ¥7, no changes — and the same train if you start at Terminal 5.

In short

Getting from Xi’an Xianyang to Xi’an North is a single step: Metro Line 14. From T1–T3 board at Airport West (T1, T2, T3), the station between the terminals and the car park with its entrance at Exit A1, and ride to Beikezhan (North Square). It is a direct ride with no changes, the published fare is ¥7 and the running time 31 minutes; the first train leaves at 06:00 and the last at 22:20, with trains every 5 min 25 s at peak and 8 min 31 s off-peak. From Terminal 5 board at Airport (T5) on the ground floor of the transport hub east of the terminal — same line, same ¥7, first train 06:04 and last 22:24. The operator has not published a running time from the T5 stop, so the 33 minutes quoted here is an estimate. Xi’an North is the origin of the Zhengzhou–Xi’an, Xi’an–Chengdu, Datong–Xi’an and Yinchuan–Xi’an high-speed lines and an interchange with Metro Lines 2 and 4. In daylight a taxi is also a direct option, roughly 40 minutes depending on traffic and billed on the meter — no airport or transport authority publishes an official airport-to-Xi’an-North fare.

Time 31 minFare ¥7First 06:00Last 22:20
  1. After baggage claim follow the metro signs; the station sits between T1–T3 and the car park and you enter at Exit A1.
  2. Buy a ¥7 single-journey ticket at the machine, or tap a transit QR code at the gate.
  3. Check the platform signs and board a train towards Heshao; Xi’an North is on Line 14 itself, so there is nothing to change.
  4. Alight at Beikezhan (North Square) and follow the railway station signs out; that brings you into Xi’an North.
  5. Go through to the departure hall for the gate on your ticket; if you have time, sort out cash or food inside the station first.

The fare dropped from ¥16 to ¥7 after through-running began, and riding to the far end at Heshao costs ¥9. Operators advise checking first and last train times on the day.
