Go early — the pandas are awake and eating bamboo then, and by midday most of them are asleep. The park is big and the shuttle saves a lot of walking, especially with children or older parents.
Chengdu Panda Base · Dujiangyan
Pandas at their liveliest in the morning, then a Qin-era irrigation system still watering the plain
老实说
这一天到底怎么过A fourteen-hour day covering three sites: pandas before the crowds, the irrigation system after lunch, and the bridge at Nanqiao on the way back. It is a full day out of Chengdu, not a morning.
适合
- Families
- People who want pandas and a UNESCO site in one booking
什么情况下别订
Pandas are most active before ten. If you cannot leave at seven, book the panda-only morning instead.
The pandas sleep through the middle of the day. Everyone who arrives at eleven photographs black-and-white bundles on the ground.

进与出
依路线而异What’s included
- Panda base admission (¥55)
- Dujiangyan admission (¥80)
- Air-conditioned coach and Mandarin-speaking guide
- Lunch (eight dishes and a soup)
- Hotel pick-up inside the Third Ring Road
Not included
- Dujiangyan shuttle bus ¥20 and Yulei Pavilion escalator ¥40
- Wireless headsets ¥40 for both sites
- Personal expenses and gratuities
- Pandas are active for roughly two hours after opening. The 07:00 departure exists for exactly that window — do not keep the driver waiting.
- When the base caps visitor numbers on public holidays, the operator reverses the order: Dujiangyan first, pandas after lunch. That is the only sequence that gets you in.
- Children under 1.3 m need a child ticket. No feeding, no flash photography, and keep quiet inside the enclosures.
- The “blue tears” are underwater lights in the Min River at Nanqiao, not a natural phenomenon — the promotional shots are long exposures. Viewing is free.
- You are back in Chengdu at 21:30. If you have a flight or train that night, take the 17:00 return instead.
The easiest day out with children: pandas are up in the morning and Dujiangyan is flat, with stroller access throughout.

旅客怎么说
113,540 条评价Several enclosures, a nursery and good signage: you can actually follow what you are looking at rather than just queueing for a photo. A calm, green couple of hours.
Fair warning: pandas sleep a lot. We saw plenty, but most were curled up or facing away. Set expectations for a quiet visit rather than a show.
