Bangkok moved its long-distance station
Since 2023 most long-distance trains leave from Krung Thep Aphiwat (Bang Sue), not the old Hua Lamphong station. Both are in Bangkok and 12 km apart — check which one your ticket names.
Sleeper prices depend on the berth
A lower berth costs more than an upper one, and first class is a private two-berth cabin rather than a wider seat. The new #9 train has first-class cabins; older trains do not.
First-class cabins go first
Sales open about 60 days ahead. On popular dates the first-class cabins on the overnight trains are gone within minutes, while second-class berths last longer.
Foreign cards are often rejected

这是夜车线路，卧铺按位置定价：下铺比上铺贵约 100 泰铢。一等单人包间只有 9 次车提供。泰国国铁在泰国时间 08:30 放票，热门日期的包间几分钟就没了——请提前把日期告诉我们，我们在放票时下单。
