提醒
- The ticket needs a real-name booking in advance and entry is by ID — no paper tickets are sold at the gate. Evening show tickets sell out in peak season, so book early.
- Unlimited re-entry over three days is the real value here: leave for lunch, come back for the evening, and you do not pay twice.
- Show times change with the season. Get the programme at the gate first and build the day around the cavalry and river battles rather than wandering into them by luck.
- The two battles are loud and the river one throws spray — sit further back with small children. Shade is scarce in summer.
- Dongjing Menghua is an open-air water stage. It performs in rain with ponchos provided, but after October the night is genuinely cold — bring a jacket.
- Kaifeng is twenty-odd minutes from Zhengzhou by high-speed rail, so a same-day return from Zhengzhou works without staying overnight.
Good for families who want live shows rather than museums. The park is flat and pushchair-friendly, but the crowd leaving a show is dense — hold on to small children.
